What is a 3D Printer?

A 3D printer is a machine capable of creating objects from digital designs. This machine is revolutionizing the manufacturing industry. It allows an individual to build - in his own house or workshop-objects that previously had to be made in large factories. The ease of designing and building prototypes allows us to do several trials, which encourages innovation. New collaborative design tools along with communities that share their designs with open licenses, have incentivized a lot of new inventions. A 3D printer allows you to download, copy, modify, share and mix objects. The potential of these devices is to the extent that one printer can print parts to build another printer. Printers are already on the market with their plans and schematics open, which has led to the emergence of a large number of low-cost printers easy to build at home. It is part of the beginning of a new industrial revolution. We are in a time when we can design, prototype, build and sell from a garage. New garage hardware companies similar to those dominating the computer and internet industry today will soon begin to emerge
